The Obsidian 9 uses a non-slatted design creating a full circumference gas seal. The drastically lowers gas blowback for a more enjoyable shooting experience. The Obsidian 9 pistons are cross compatible with Silencer Co slotted pistons. The Obsidian 9 mount is machine from 17-4 Stainless steel barstock.
